LINGAYEN – A mayoralty aspirant here focuses on
the strong stability of the family of his constituents as the main thrust of
his administration.

Sonny Verzosa said that a strong family can be likened
to a sturdy house where it is termite-free.
“Meron itong matibay na pundasyon na nagbubuhat
sa lima nitong poste at ng bubong. Kailangan puksa-in sa matapang at mabilis na
solusyon laban sa mga peste na sumisira sa bahay. Kung matibay itong bahay
siguradong matatag at Masaya ang pamilya,“ stressed by Verzosa, a former police
provincial director in Pangasinan, and the son of this Capital Town’s former mayor Mariano “Maning” D. Verzosa.
In the flyers that his supporters give
to the public, Verzosa cited the other projects that he will expedite to
implement in case he wins the May 9 mayoralty election.
“Kaakit-akit na palengke ng bayan,
maluwag at maliwanag na lansangan, maayos na mga kanal, malinis at malakas na
tubig gripo, magpatayo sa Western at Southern Barangays ng Community Center na
may palengke, presinto ng pulis, health center, at extension office ng
munisipyo, magpatayo ng public cemetery sa Southern Barangays, palawakin ang
Central Business District o Town Proper, aayusin ang mga patubig sa bukirin,
idadraga ang mga ilog, po-protektahan ang karagatan at baybayin, maayos na
pangangasiwa ng basura, kaayusan sa trapik, itataguyod ang paggamit ng
bisekleta at magtatalaga ng “Bike Parking”.
He added that he will transform this
town as the “Boracay of the North’ and Sports Capital of the North”, make this
town’s plaza orderly and clean, to name a few.
Verzosa, a graduate of the Philippine
Military Academy, runs in tandem with vice mayoralty candidate Edith Hallare,
council candidates Maan Verzosa, Sonny’s daughter, Joela Ochoco, and Eugene
Francs Fuentes.
Both Verzosa and Hallare, a former
mayor, are members of the PDP-Laban.
